So, I thought I'd have a little fun and start a round robin. If you don't know what a round robin is, it goes like this: I start a sentence or paragraph. Someone else writes a new sentence or paragraph. And so on, and so on, until it comes back to you. Ready?
Oh, no. "Spot. Come back here."

But Spot did exactly the opposite. He took off as fast as his stubby little legs could carry him, ears flattened against his skull, tongue hanging out...
Why, oh why, had she ever called out, "Out, damned spot! Out, I say!" Now she would be lucky if Spot ever came back, because he loved to run free.
So she ran down the sidewalk and turned to chase the furry little beast. Sadly, she forgotten she was still wearing her night cloths.
As she streaked down the walk, she prayed no one would see her.
Spot zipped for the pond, past tall weeds and munching deer.
Damn, she wished she had on her bathing suit. This is not how she planned to spend her night.
Skittering to a halt at the edge of the pond, the full moon came out from behind a cloud bank--and that's when she saw it. The shadow of a man, but not just any man...
But a merman.
"Please dear woman, help me. I've been sent to this remote pond by an evil witch."
She gasped as the moonlight highlighted his long black hair which hung to his waist, a broad chest, thick arms and instead of legs bright blue scales.
"I cannot," she replied. "For if I touch the water, I will die a horrible death."
From the corner of her eye, she saw Spot wallowing in the mud.
Spot dug ferociously at the mud. It went flying all over her as he tunneled deeper into the ground. He'd found something...
Of its own accord, the object floated on the air, a hovering, crystalline orb of light.
She sucked in a surprised breath. It was a magical force field! But would it protect her from the water?
She'd never know if she didn't try.
Slowly, carefully, she ventured over to collect both the orb and Spot, tucking one beneath each arm before taking a step into the dark water.
Her skin tingled as the orb neared her. It bathed her in white light as the floating crystal ball hovered just above her. "Swallow it," the merman said. She gulped...swallow IT?
The orb dissolved into her skin like a rain drop, and left a tingling sensation behind--but what was more, she felt no ill effects from the water.
Spot spied the merman, and barked furiously, squirming in her arms.
As she treaded carefully into the water, her dog yapping behind her, she felt a curious sensation wrap around her legs...
